Satterfield & Pontikes Construction provided project controls services for the $1.2 billion Delta Air Lines redevelopment and renovation project at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York. S&P provided estimating, scheduling and cost control for the massive, multi-year project that renovated and expanded Terminal 4 to accommodate Delta’s international flights. S&P provided an onsite virtual studio at JFK for use by Delta, its general contractors, and subcontractors to assist in schedule planning and project execution. S&P used Building Information Modeling (BIM) and applied proprietary software to build a complete software model of the project in order to deliver the enhanced project control services to Delta. The project schedule was tied to the BIM model and provided earned value management. The S&P-STV joint venture also provided field supervision for the numerous general contractor and construction management delivery methods Delta used on the project. Project features include: • Major addition to Terminal 4 concourse • Addition of nine new international gates • New baggage claim area • New passenger security checkpoint • Terminal 3 demolition and site paving
