Congregation Shalom Structures

Fox Point, WI

Hunzinger Construction Company

The Book of Exodus states that when the people wandered through the wilderness they were led by a Pillar of Cloud by Day and a Pillar of Fire by Night. These two Pillars are the theme of two sculptures created by Richard Edelman of Milwaukee for Congregation Shalom, 7630 N. Santa Monica Blvd, in Fox Point. The sculptures are constructed of Stainless Steel and stand twenty five feet and weight together approximately 17,000 pounds. Both structures utilize repeated images of the Hebrew character SHIN which stands for God. The site preparation, foundation pours, and erection of the Pillars were provided by Hunzinger Construction.
