Norwood

Working on behalf of a unique academic research partnership between Delaware Valley College and an affiliate of Drexel University, Norwood renovated a vacant 62,000 SF warehouse to become a world-class biotechnology center in under eight months. The business and technology incubation facility is the first of its kind in Bucks County and was designed to accommodate nonprofit research organizations and biotech companies under one roof. Norwood assisted the design team for more than a year, providing extensive preconstruction services and design input. Specialty features include BL2 labs for molecular biology, a BL3 lab for live cell research, dark room, tissue culture room, radioactive experiments room, ultracentrifuge, refrigerated centrifuge, scintillation counters, -80 degree freezer space, tissue culture hood, incubator, and mass spectrophotometer.
