Henricksen, a full spectrum office furniture solutions provider for over 51 years, engaged Hunzinger Construction Company for it’s new renovation project. As a complete office systems designer, installer, and office logistics supplier, they wanted a completely new configuration to highlight their expanding capabilities. Teaming with HGA Architects, Henricksen designers collaborated to design a completely new modern office in their existing space. The renovation was completed in two phases of work to allow the business to operate in it’s existing location without re-locating off site. Completely new finishes and a new office layout highlighting their many systems, case goods, seating, filing, and architectural office products was completed in four months. Work included relocation of the main entry, and a new monument sign to direct visitors to a newly renovated waiting area. New conference rooms were also constructed with expanded audio–visual equipment to support their extensive client education mission. Hunzinger self-performed demolition, carpentry, and general construction. Subcontractor partners included Alpine Plumbing, Ahern Fire Protection, Olympic Companies (drywall), Uihlein Electric Co., Central Ceilings, Hess Sweitzer, Heritage Glass, and Stuck Woodwork. A new library, kitchen, lounge, accent lighting, color scheme, and reception desk form a dramatic backdrop for the many innovative products sold by Henricksen. Open office workstation configurations of all sizes, types, heights, and scales illustrate the capabilities of Henricksen designers, and provide a dynamic and exciting living laboratory that their employees use daily.
