Norwood was design/builder responsible for all engineering, architecture, permitting, and construction for a 1.7 million SF northeastern US distribution center for Procter and Gamble’s paper division. The facility, considered the largest single-story structure in Pennsylvania, required moving 2.3 million cubic yards of earth and the introduction of all utilities to a remote location. Norwood was able to complete the project in less than 11 months from groundbreaking, with Procter and Gamble occupying the building in six phases. Upon completion, Norwood was engaged on two expansion projects of 85,000 SF and 32,000 SF each for a neighboring Procter and Gamble manufacturing plant. Norwood handled all development approvals and permitting, completing both projects ahead of schedule.
