Working with Doylestown Hospital, Norwood delivered a $65 million campus expansion project centered on a new emergency department and additional in-patient beds. Utilizing extensive insights from prior emergency department projects, Norwood assisted Doylestown Hospital in the planning process for nearly three years before groundbreaking. The new facility offers 40 private treatment rooms in the emergency department, each with its own bathroom and family seating area, 40 private medical-surgical beds, and a four-story, 497-space parking garage with an underground pedestrian tunnel connecting to the new addition. The new emergency department is able to accommodate approximately 40,000 visits per year, triple the capacity of the former department.
