Pewaukee, WI
Hunzinger Construction Company recently completed a 197,000 square foot addition and renovation project at the Pewaukee High School for the Pewaukee School District. The completed project includes a new (3) station gymnasium, expanded cafeteria, a new auditorium, (8) new classrooms, renovation and expansion to the fine arts classrooms, and fire protection retrofit of the existing building. The new auditorium for Pewaukee High School was previously the gymnasium for the Pirates. With extensive excavating work, Hunzinger transformed the previous gymnasium into a 750-seat, state-of-the-art auditorium fully equipped with customized LED seat lighting. The auditorium features new ceiling clouds for amplified acoustics, a sizeable stage and set shop for props and scenery, orchestra pit, a new array of theatrical lighting, custom sound paneling, box office, dressing rooms, sound and lighting booth, catwalk and a full service concession area. Hunzinger served as the Construction Manager for the project and worked with the school district and design team for pre-referendum and pre-construction services.
