The new 117,000 SF Mandarin Chinese Language Immersion Magnet School (formerly Gordon Elementary), is under construction on an existing campus in the City of Bellaire. Designed by PBK Architects, the new $19.1 million school will accommodate 750 to 900 students. It will eventually become a K-8 campus to produce bilingual students who are college and career-ready. The new facility will feature an open, multi-story learning commons which will serve as a computer lab and technology center, as well as a multi-purpose workshop. Other campus features will include open and enclosed playgrounds and a vegetable garden.
