Milwaukee School of Engineering: Athletic Field and Parking Complex

Milwaukee, WI

Hunzinger Construction Company

Hunzinger Construction recently completed the $30 million new athletic field and parking structure in Milwaukee's Park East Corridor for the Milwaukee School of Engineering. August 23rd marked the official grand opening of the new home for both women and men's soccer and lacrosse teams for the Raiders. Dignitaries including Mayor Tom Barrett, Bob Kern and wife Patricia Kern, and John Hunzinger attended to share in the enthusiasm for the newly completed project. The completed project consists of a new synthetic turf athletic field atop a 780-car parking facility. The athletic field is the first all-LED lit competition field in the United States. In addition to the field, the parking structure features LED lighting that will dim accordingly to save energy when the parking structure is not in use. These new sustainable features will offer yearly savings for the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
