Snyder Langston completed this 35,000 s.f. facility that is situated on a 2.3-acre site within the new Aviation Center complex located in Hawthorne, California. The two-story building is Type V, steel and concrete. FAA's new headquarters is an exceptional building featuring a design in the shape of a wave. The exterior has both curvilinear and angular features that are highlighted by a curtain-wall glazing system. The FAA Western Federal Credit Union headquarters posed many complex geometric challenges that were overcome by Snyder Langston's joint collaboration with Nadel Architects. The end product is a structure with a timeless look that is unrivaled by any other building in the immediate area.
