Satterfield & Pontikes Construction's award-winning headquarters project, located at 11000 Equity Drive in Houston, is a three-story, 65,000 SF “green building” that used state-of-the-art technology and leading-edge construction practices. This allowed the project to be completed in-budget while following an extremely aggressive schedule. The building, planning and technological innovations used during the construction are examples of innovative methods that will become industry standards in the future.
• First building in Houston to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold CS certification
• The use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) helped the project go from design to move-in in 10 months
• Three-dimensional computer modeling allowed multiple project phases to get under way at the same time without interference
• Advanced modeling and scheduling delivered a finished product costing 20 percent less than if traditional estimation methods had been used.
