Norwood

The Norwood Company served as Design Builder for a 530,000 SF food-grade cold storage distribution center for Trader Joe’s, a privately owned chain of specialty grocery stores. The facility includes 100,000 SF 34 degree ammonia refrigerated cooler room, 90,000 SF 70 degree air-conditioned storage area, 325,000 SF ambient storage area, 15,000 SF of office area and 110 loading docks with a drive-in ramp and the capacity to house 300 storage trailers. Norwood also constructed an on-site vehicle maintenance building and fuel station.
